Inupiat CED Project in Arctic Alaska

Currently working on an interesting project with Inupiat peoples on the Artic shore on the top of Alaska.  Our asset-based approach to community economic development fits well with the culture and the community where cooperatives are a way of life and sustenance and local trade are traditional.  The trick is to support residents in the creation of appropriate businesses and jobs that generate dollars from outside the community.  Pleased to be working with talented and dedicated people of the Arctic Slope Regional Corporation and the North Slope Borough.  Thanks to John McKnight of the ABCD Institute for inviting me.
